PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Pitt-Greensburg G/F Nadege Durand posted a double-double in both of Pitt-Greensburg's games this past week against Franciscan and Penn State Behrend. Against Franciscan, Durand scored 24 points, grabbed 11 boards, and shot 71.4% (10-of-14) from the floor in 29 minutes of action. The junior then followed her double-double against the Barons with 12 points and 12 boards against Behrend. After leading the conference in rebounding last season, Durand has continued her prowess on the boards leading the conference in rebounding (11.0) and has recorded a double-double in five of the seven games so far this season. 

 

BEST OF THE REST: Hilbert G Taylor Corts led Hilbert to a 2-0 record this week, as her 23 points per game and 6.5 rebounds per game is a team best, as well as going 13-for-14 from the free throw in the two games, while also scoring her 1,000th career point in the thirrd quarter against Pitt-Bradford....PS-Altoona G/F Alexis Cannistraci tied her career-high in points by scoring 28 against AMCC opponent La Roche last Tuesday, and she also grabbed 13 rebounds to secure her second double-double of the season, while also adding four steals, two blocks, and two assists...La Roche G Ayanna Mazyck had a stellar all-around performance in the Redhawks' 90-68 victory over Penn St. Altoona last Tuesday, scoring a team-high 20 points while shooting 6-12 from the field and 4-6 from 3-PT range, while also tallying four rebounds, an assist, a block and a conference season-high eight steals...Medaille F Morgan Kennedy broke out as a force for the Mavericks despite their loss this week, as she dropped 22 points and 15 rebounds, while also adding a steal...D'Youville G Kelsey Carpenter had a big game for the Spartans last Tuesday against Alfred State, helping the women improve to 2-0 in conference play, as she led the team with 14 points and nine rebounds in the 65-50 victory over Alfred State last Tuesday, shooting 44.4% from the field and 42.9% from three in the win.
