PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Franciscan G Abby Baierl led the Lady Barons to a 2-0 record this week, and both wins were fourth quarter comebacks thanks to strong performances from Baierl. First in the win on Wednesday, Baeirl scored 18 points while going 40% from deep. The Lady Barons entered the 4th quarter down by 12, as Baierl scored 11 points, in the 4th to help lead the team to victory. Bairel also drained the three-pointer that put the Lady Barons up for good in the final minutes. Baierl followed it up Saturday with 21 points and five rebounds in the one point victory. The Lady Barons entered the final quarter down eight points this time, but Baierl would scored 13 points in the quarter to put the team on her back and earn a sweep this week. Baierl once again hit the game-winner, this time in the paint with nine seconds remaining in the game. 

 

BEST OF THE REST: Medaille F Morgan Kennedy continued her strong play this week as she scored a season high 25 points and grabbed four rebounds against D'Youville, then against Penn St. Altoona she scored 20 more points and grabbed 16 rebounds, her new season high...La Roche F Jenna Cole led the Redhawks to a 2-0 record last week, as she averaged 19.5 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting 70% (14-20) from the floor and 80% (4-5) from beyond the arc...PS-Altoona G Finnley Christine became Penn State Altoona's all-time leading scorer last week during a 1-1 week of AMCC play for the Lady Lions, as she averaged 13.0 points per game while shooting 66.7% (10-for-15) from the field, 5.5 rebounds per game, 3.0 assists per game, 1.5 steals per game, and 1.0 block per game...Pitt-Greensburg F Shaquoia McCray's play helped Pitt-Greensburg post two road wins this past week at Behrend and Pitt-Bradford, as she averaged a double-double over both games, totaling 13 points and 10 rebounds, while shooting 64.3% from the field...D'Youville G Danielle Hore had another impressive week for the Spartans as she began the week with 15 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and a steal in the 74-63 win over Medaille on Wednesday, then on Saturday against La Roche, she scored 18 points to go with seven rebounds, an assist, and three blocks in the loss to the Redhawks...Hilbert F Ashley Repine helped the Hawks to a win over Alfred state with 13 points and eight rebounds, while also adding three steals and two assists from the forward spot...Pitt-Bradford G Shaelyn Snipes scored a team-high 18 points for the Panthers on Saturday, as she shot 42% from the field and made 4-of-9 from three in the contest, while also adding three rebounds, two on the offensive end, and three steals.
