RINFRETTE VOTED D3 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL HERO OF THE WEEK FOR SECOND TIME THIS SEASON

Pitt-Bradford senior guard Ali Rinfrette has been voted HEROSports.com's D3 Women's Basketball HERO of the Week for the second time this season.

The senior earned the nomination for her performance in Saturday's AMCC Championship Tournament semifinal.

She earned 808 votes, 55.61 percent of all 1,453 total votes.

Rinfrette dropped 34 points while grabbing 11 rebounds for a double-double. She also dished eight assists, collected a pair of steals and blocked four shots that led to key stops for the Panther defense while playing all 50 minutes in the double-overtime defeat.

The Bradford native also knocked down seven three-pointers, a season-high and one shy of the Pitt-Bradford single-game school record that she set last season.

Rinfrette was up for the D3 Women's Basketball HERO of the Week on Feb. 5 and earned 2,411 votes to win the award.

Since then, Rinfrette has extended her career scoring total to 2,099 total points and elevated her scoring average for the season to 22.5 points per game, which ranks her fourth nationally.

She also leads the country in total minutes played this season with 1,028.

So far this postseason, she has been named All-AMCC First Team, CoSIDA Academic All-District and a finalist for the national Jostens Trophy.
