Pitt-Bradford senior guard Ali Rinfrette has been recognized for her excellence both in the classroom and on the court as she was honored as 2017-18 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) First Team Academic All-District for Division III District 4.
The Nursing major boasts a GPA of 3.75 and has been named to the University's Dean's List all seven semesters she's been a student at Pitt-Bradford. She has also appeared on the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Academic All-Conference team all three of her years while earning the Junior and Sophomore Academic Excellence Awards as well as the Scholar-Athlete Award three times.
The Bradford native has also solidified herself as one of the top women's basketball players in Pitt-Bradford history, as she reached the 2,000-career point plateau on Feb. 14 and is the program's All-Time leading scorer.
Her stand-out career has been capped by a tremendous senior season. She ranks first in the AMCC and fifth in the nation in scoring with 22.0 points per game. She stays on the court nearly as much as anyone in the country, ranking second nationally with 39.1 minutes played per game. Her 139 free-throws made is the 12th most in the nation as well.
Rinfrette will now appear on the CoSIDA Division III Academic All-America national ballot, which will be voted on and announced in March.

The Pitt-Bradford women's basketball team will compete in the AMCC semifinals Saturday against No. 2 Mount Aloysius tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. hosted by top-seeded Hilbert.
