PANTHERS' KIMMEL HEADS WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM

Pitt-Bradford senior Alicia Kimmel has been named the AMCC Women's Basketball Player of the Year to head the 2014-15 all-conference team.  La Roche College sophomore Danasha Harris  is the Defensive Player of the Year and freshman Sarah Schriner of Franciscan University has been tabbed as the Newcomer of the Year.

Kimmel, a three-time AMCC all-conference selection, led the Panthers to a second place finish and first round bye in the conference tournament. She finished the season ranked second in both field goals made (129) and field goal percentage (51.8%), third in both points (294) and points per game, (16.3) and fifth in assist/turnover ratio (1.6).

Harris has been named the Defensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row. She led the AMCC, and was 24th nationally, in steals with 3.9 per game. She also ranked second in the AMCC, and 20th in the nation, in offensive rebounds with 4.8 per game. Harris ranked sixth in the AMCC in rebounding, seventh in field goal percentage and also recorded three double-doubles on the year.

Schriner earned ECAC South Rookie of the Week honors (December 24), AMCC Player of the Week (February 22), and recorded Franciscan's highest single-game scoring mark of 32 points against the College of Wooster. She finished her freshman campaign ranked eighth in the conference in both scoring with 14.4 points per game, and also in free throw percentage with 75.2%. 

Franciscan's Suzy Delaney has been named the 2015 AMCC Coach of the Year. She led the Barons to their first playoff appearance in program history. After an eighth place finish in 2014, they finished the regular season in sixth place and secured a spot in the AMCC conference tournament.
