PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Franciscan INF Anna Swierczewski had a monster week for the Lady Barons to lead them to a 4-0 week in non-conference play. Swierczewski was 11-for-15 with three multi-hit games, including going 4-for-4 against Waynesburg. She drove in seven runs, scored five times and had three extra base hits, including a home run. The freshman struck out just once in 16 plate appearances. The first baseman was perfect in the field making 36 putouts and no errors while adding three assists and turning one double play.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Mount Aloysius P/OF Emily Cochran had a strong week for the Mounties, but particularly shined in a weekend double header against Chatham, as she went 3-for-3 in game one, driving in three of the Mounties' five runs, including the game tying two-RBI single in the 6th, while also picking up the win on the mound, and then providing the big hit for the Mounties to start their late comeback in game two...Pitt-Greensburg 1B Tayjah White posted a .462 batting average, going 6-for-13 at the plate, with two doubles, a triple, and driving in four RBI, as her best game of the week was the first of two against St. Vincent, where she went 2-for-3, with a double, triple, and drove in two runs...Pitt-Bradford OF Grace Dadzaa went 5-for-8 and stole a base in the Panthers' sweep of Westminster Sunday, while also singling and scoring the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth to complete the sweep...D'Youville INF Jordan Hartman stepped up in her first taste of collegiate action this past week, as she collected hits in four straight games - including four RBI, no strikeouts and a .400 batting average...La Roche SS Alexis Medva went 2-for-5 with a run and RBI in two games last week.
