PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Medaille JR Laura Kratzke was a workhorse for the Mavericks last week, going 4-2 over a four day stretch that saw the Mavs play four double headers in a row, including throwing a perfect game to add to her resume. She finished with a 2.44 ERA and 4-2 record, striking out 56 and throwing the first perfect game of her career in a 2-0 win over La Rcohe on Saturday. She followed that up with another complete game shut out, pitching 48 of a total of 56 innings for Medaille this weekend.

 

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Altoona FR Sidney Lewis had a great week in the circle for the Lady Lions, going 4-1 in five total appearances that included four starts, as she pitched 27 1/3 innings and limited her opponents to just 10 earned runs to post a 2.56 earned run average...PS-Behrend SR AJ Nichols appeared in three games last week, tallying wins against Hilbert and two against Franciscan, as she pitched a complete game in two out of three appearances, throwing a total of 12 innings, giving up just seven runs and striking out 14 batters...D'Youville SO Brittaney Goodrich had a very strong week for the Spartans, picking up a pair of wins, pitching 16.0 innings, allowing seven earned runs and striking out eight in three games...Mount Aloysius SO Kara Pisczek put in a 2-0 performance for Mount Aloysius this week, as she threw two three-hit complete games, totaling 11 innings and striking out 12 batters without allowing a walk....Franciscan FR Sarah Keating appeared in five games for the Lady Barons and went 2-2 with a save, as she posted a 1.35 ERA for the week, striking out 17 batters and throwing three complete games...Pitt-Bradford SO Jordan Uhing went 1-2 against tough competition, her win coming in complete-game fashion against La Roche Sunday in which she allowed just one earned run and struck out three, for the week she recorded a 3.82 ERA, struck out eight and had a pair of complete games -- the first coming on the road at Mount Aloysius Saturday...Pitt-Greensburg SO Krista Bayus made two appearances on the mound for Pitt-Greensburg this past week, as she totaled 9.0 innings, where she allowed two earned runs and struck out four, posting a 2.00 ERA and limiting her opponents to just a .138 batting average...La Roche SO Alexa Young had a 3.04 ERA over 23 innings last week.
