PITCHER OF THE WEEK: PS-Behrend SR AJ Nichols appeared in three game last week, starting in game one against D'Youville and Mt. Aloysius. In both starts, Nichols registered a win while pitching complete games. Nichols registered 21 strikeouts on the week, including a season-high 12 against Mt. Aloysius. She pitched 14.2 innings, giving up just 10 hits and three runs while finishing the week with an ERA of 0.95.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Pitt-Bradford SO Jordan Uhing went 2-0 in her two starts and also earned a save for the Panthers this week, as she struck out nine in 15 innings of work while posting a 1.40 ERA...Franciscan P Sarah Keating went 2-0 with two more complete game wins to improve to 11-1 on the season for the Lady Barons, as she recorded a 1.75 ERA for the week after shutting out Penn State Altoona and giving up just three earned runs to Hilbert, and also recording five strikeouts between the two games...PS-Altoona FR Sidney Lewis made two strong starts in the circle for the Lady Lions last week, as she went 1-1 with a 2.00 ERA, pitching 14 innings, allowing just four earned runs, and yielding 14 hits and only three walks, while striking out four batters...Hilbert SR Rachel Allen pitched nine innings total in two starts, as she assisted the Hawks to their first shutout win of the season against Alfred State, as she had 12 strikeouts, four walks and five hits for the week, while posting a 2.33...La Roche SO Alexa Young went 2-1 and pitched to a 1.58 ERA over 17.2 innings...Mount Aloysius JR Nina Shatzer allowed one run over three appearances this week for the Mounties, as she allowed one run on three hits as a reliever in the 3-2 victory over Juniata, she then threw a scoreless frame in the extra inning loss to Penn State Behrend, and followed that up with a win in game two, as she threw 4 1/3 scoreless innings of relief work and allowed only three hits.
