BEST OF THE REST: Mount Aloysius SO Jessica Koptcho had a strong opening week, making four appearances for the Mounties and tallying a 1-1 record, as she tossed 16.0 innings and allowed just eight hits, while striking out 24 batters, giving up runs in just one of her appearances, while also tossing a shutout against Gwynedd Mercy, where she struck out 11 batters...Pitt-Greensburg JR Melanie Mienke struck out ten batters over 15.2 innings and gave up just five earned runs as the Bobcats competed in the Spring Games, she recorded a whip of 1.60 and a 4.47 k/7...Carlow SR Clara Niglio did not allow any earned runs in a complete game effort against Waynesburg Thursday with three strikeouts and four hits.
