15 AMCC softball student-athletes were among the 2,369 Division III softball student-athletes recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for academic success in 2022-23, as the organization announced its Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors on Tuesday afternoon.

Walters was lights out over the final weekend of the season, helping the Mounties go 4-0. She made two starts and was virtually un-hittable as she gave up just two hits over two games. On Saturday, she tossed a 5.0 inning, complete-game, no-hitter against La Roche. During the contest, she walked just one batter and hit two others, while striking out 10. She followed that up on Sunday with another 5.0 inning complete game, this time allowing two hits and two walks, and striking out seven. For the week, she pitched 10.0 innings, giving up just two hits and 0 runs, while striking out 17 for a 11.90 k/7 average.
McLaughlin had a huge week for the Panthers, as they picked up four conference wins to secure the fifth seed in the AMCC Tournament. She hit .714 for the week, including two doubles and a triple, while scoring nine runs, driving in four, and stealing four bases. Over a three-game stretch, she recorded hits in eight straight at-bats. In the sweep of Pitt-Greensburg she tallied three RBI, four runs, five hits and two doubles.
Lindberg posted a 1.40 ERA in a 1-0 week, throwing 10 innings and allowing two earned runs. She also struck out eight, including five vs. Altoona. Lindberg earned a complete game victory over Penn State Altoona, a key win for Behrend, giving them sole posession of first place in conference standings.
Farrell hit an outstanding .682 in six games this past week. Farrell went 15-for-22, as she tallied seven extra base hits, with four doubles and three triples. On 15 hits, she recorded 14 RBI and crossed the plate herself 11 times. Farrell didn't strike out at all in the 22 at-bats and also swiped three bags. Farrell slugged an outrageous 1.136 last week. In addition to her production at the plate, Farrell also threw three complete games in the circle, striking out 14 and recording two wins for the Pioneers.
Peters had a 3-0 week in three pitching appearances for the Lions against AMCC opponents. In game one at La Roche on Wednesday, she pitched a complete game and allowed only three hits and one run while striking out four batters. In game two against the Redhawks, she entered in relief and pitched the final two innings, posting a scoreless performance and recording four strikeouts to earn another win. In game one against Hilbert on Friday at home, Peters pitched a complete game, one-hit shutout with eight strikeouts. On the week, the sophomore right-hander went 3-0 with a 0.50 ERA, pitching 14 innings, allowing four hits, one run, and no walks, and registering 16 strikeouts.
Peterman played a huge part in the Mounties' 4-0 week, hitting an eye-popping .778 and slugging 1.444. The sophomore hit the first two home runs of her career, while also driving in eight total runs. She went 7-for-9 and picked up two or more hits in all three games she played in. In the Mounties' doubleheader sweep of Pitt-Greensburg, Peterman went 5-for-5 with a homerun and five RBIs. She currently leads the AMCC in hitting, batting .489 overall and .591 in conference play.
Last Saturday, the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford softball team paired with the non-profit organization, The Hidden Opponent to hold a Student-Athlete Mental Health Awareness Day for their doubleheader against Penn State-Altoona.
Peters had a hand in three of the Lions' four wins last week, going 2-0 in her two starts while recording her first collegiate save to protect the victory in another game. In game one of last Tuesday's doubleheader sweep of USCAA opponent Penn State Schuylkill, she pitched a complete game and yielded three runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out seven to record the victory. In game two, she entered in the bottom of the seventh with the bases loaded and recorded the final two outs to preserve the win and notch the save. In game two of Saturday's sweep at AMCC opponent Pitt-Bradford, Peters pitched another complete game and allowed just one run on seven hits and no walks to go along with four strikeouts to record a win. On the week, Madison was 2-0 with one save, a 1.91 ERA, 14 2/3 innings pitched, and 12 strikeouts.
Storm had a big week at the plate for the Lions, helping her team go 4-0 by recording a multi-hit performance in each of her four games. In Penn State Altoona's doubleheader sweep of USCAA opponent Penn State Schuylkill on Tuesday, the freshman combined to go 5-for-8 with four RBI, two runs scored, a double, a triple, and a walk. In Saturday's road sweep of AMCC foe Pitt-Bradford, she combined for a stat line of 5-for-8 with five runs scored, four RBI, two doubles, one walk, and her first collegiate home run. On the week, Karli hit .625 (10-for-16) with eight RBI, seven runs scored, three doubles, two walks, one triple, and one home run. She finished with 18 total bases and five extra-base hits while posting a .667 on-base percentage and a 1.125 slugging percentage.
Mount Aloysius College travels to Erie, PA on Saturday to take on the Penn State Behrend Lions in the AMCC Softball Games of the Week. Penn State Behrend (9-11, 4-0 AMCC) and Mount Aloysius (9-7, 3-1 AMCC) hold down the top two spots in conference standings heading into weekend play.
Boehme hit .600 for the week, as he connected on 12 hits including two doubles and a triple. He drove in 10 runs and scored five while turning three double plays in a 3-2 week for the Lions. Boehme went 6-for-8 against Hilbert with five RBI.
Tingley threw two complete game victories for a 0.70 ERA with one shutout, as she went 2-0 on the week. Tingley pitched 10 innings and struck out six with allowing just one earned run in two appearances.
McNany went 9-for-10 (.900), scoring seven runs and driving in six. She tallied three doubles and one triple, while stealing a base in four games. Against Hilbert, she was a perfect 5-for-5 with five RBI and two doubles.
Mienke pitched 13 innings over this past week, striking out 19 batters and earning a win against Hilbert in game two of the double header on Sunday. She had an era of 3.23 in the two games combined
Pearson had a big week at the plate, hitting .500 with eight total hits, while crushing five home runs. She had at least one home run in each of the Mounties' four contests. In a win against Juanita, she collected three hits and hit two home runs, while driving in four. Then, on Sunday, she added four more hits and two more bombs, leading the Mounties an AMCC sweep over Pitt-Bradford. Pearson is the conference leader in home runs and RBI, while ranking fourth in batting average .
