All institution sport teams which compete for an AMCC championship may select one member from their team who displays good sportsmanship throughout the season to be a member of the All-AMCC Sportsmanship Team.
Three AMCC softball players were selected to the Division III All-Region squad by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region team, which represents Region VII of Division III softball.

The No. 1 Penn State Behrend softball team defeated No. 2 Penn State Altoona 5-2 to capture the 2022 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championship held on Sunday morning.
The AMCC softball tournament saw much better weather conditions on Saturday as the teams took to the field. After a full slate of five games on the day, it was #1 Penn State Behrend and #2 Penn State Altoona who survived the day to advance to the AMCC Championship Game Sunday morning at 10:00am.
Hauser pitched in four games over the last week, earning a 3-0 record. The freshman made four appearance, including two starts, both of which ended up being complete games. Overall, she pitched 21.1 innings, allowing just 13 hits and two earned runs. Hauser also struck out 23 batters on the week, including 10 in her victory at Alfred State. She leads the AMCC in both ERA and Strikeouts Per Game.
Vereshack played in all eight games for the Mounties, leading her team to a 6-2 record in conference play. She hit .577 on the week, tallying 15 hits, including three doubles, a triple, and her first career homerun. She drove in nine RBIs and scored eight times. The highlight of the week came when she went 3-for-4 in a win against La Roche, including a double and a homerun, driving in three runs. Vereshack finished the week with a .633 OBP% and a .885 SLG%.
The Penn State Behrend softball team hosts Penn State Altoona in their Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) regular-season finale on Saturday for the AMCC Games of the Week.. Game times are 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Hauser had one of the best starts of her career in an 11-1 victory over Medaille. She allowed just two hits over 7.0 innings in a complete game. While one run scored, it was unearned. Over the seven frames, Hauser struck out a career-high 10 batters, facing only 25 batters on the day. The victory was her third of the season.
McNany hit .500 (7-for-14) in a 2-2 week for the Lions. In the sweep over Pitt-Bradford, she went 5-for-9 with five RBIs and two doubles. For the week, she tallied eight RBIs and three doubles.
Fisher had a great week in the circle for the Lions, going 2-0 with a pair of complete games as Penn State Altoona went 4-0 in a pair of AMCC doubleheaders. In game two of the Lions' doubleheader sweep of Pitt-Greensburg at home on Wednesday, the freshman pitched a shutout, going five innings and blanking the Bobcats while allowing just four hits and one walk. In game two of her team's doubleheader sweep on the road at Medaille on Saturday, she pitched five innings, allowed just one earned run, and yielded three hits and two walks while striking out two. On the week, Alyssa was 2-0 with two complete games and one shutout, allowing one earned run for an ERA of 0.70. She held her opponents to seven hits and three walks and struck out two.
Feathers had a strong week at the plate to help Penn State Altoona go 4-0 after a pair of AMCC doubleheader sweeps over Pitt-Greensburg and Medaille. In Wednesday's home doubleheader wins over Pitt-Greensburg, she combined to go 2-for-6 with a run scored and a stolen base. In Saturday's road doubleheader sweep of Medaille, she was 5-for-8 with eight RBI, two runs scored, and a grand slam. On the week, Featjers hit .500 (7-for-14) with eight RBI, three runs scored, one grand slam home run, and one stolen base.
Stein threw her first career complete-game shutout in the Panthers' 2-0 win over Medaille last week. Stein limited the Mavericks to just six hits without walking a batter. She threw just 80 pitches in the game, with 53 of them for strikes.
Sommer finished the week with a .345 batting average, a .387 on base percentage, and a .621 slugging percentage as the Mavs went 5-3 on the week. She went 10-for-29 with three doubles, one triple, and one homerun. She also added 10 RBIs, seven runs scored, and one stolen base. Her best game of the week was against La Roche where she batted 1.000 going 4-for-4 with two doubles, five RBIs, and two runs scored. She also added 10 putouts on 11 total chances in right field with a .909 fielding percentage.
Schmidt was 2-0 in the circle this week, giving up only two earned runs and allowing eight hits. She posted a 1.17 ERA and threw a three-hit shutout in five innings against Pitt-Greensburg.
Jones tallied a team-best five hits with six runs and three RBIs in a 3-1 week for the Lions. Her best performance was a 3-for-4 showing with two runs and a double in a 4-2 win over Mt. Union. She tallied four runs, three RBIs and two hits in a pair of wins over Pitt-Greensburg Saturday.
Alguire pitched a total of 19 innings, starting two games and appearing in two other games. She allowed 29 hits while getting eight strikeouts while being credited with two wins. She averaged 2.95 strikeouts per seven innings. She also had a 5.16 ERA. Her best game of the week was against Elmira where she came in in the fourth inning allowing no hits with four strikeouts. Her ERA for the game was 0.00.
Boonie had a strong four-game stretch for the Lions in doubleheaders against non-conference opponents Juniata and Geneva. In Tuesday's losses at Juniata, Boonie combined to go 4-for-5 in the doubleheader with a home run, two runs scored, and two RBI. In Friday's home sweep of Geneva, the freshman was 1-for-5 with a double, a run scored, an RBI, and a walk. On the week, Brooke hit .500 (5-for-10) with three runs scored, three RBI, two doubles, one home run, and one walk. She was also strong behind the plate, throwing out two base runners.
Alguire had a fantastic week on the mound in the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C. In all four starts, she was credited with the win, as she went 4-0 in the circle. She allowed a total of 16 hits and five earned runs while adding six strikeouts. She averaged 1.91 strikeouts per seven innings. She also earned a 1.59 ERA on the week. In her only complete game of the week against NCAA Division II school Mansfield University, she pitched all nine innings only allowing four hits and one earned run. Her only strikeout was at a key moment in the eighth inning with the Mansfield winning run on third.
