LA ROCHE'S GENTILE REACHES COACHING MILESTONE, EARNS CAREER WIN 400

La Roche University head softball coach, Orie Gentile, has reached another milestone in his illustrious career. Gentile and the Redhawks' sweep at Pitt-Greensburg on April 10 brought his career win total to 400.

Gentile has been the head coach of La Roche since 1997 and led the Redhawks to AMCC Conference Championships in 2000, 2001, and 2002. Gentile's teams also won an AMCC Conference Regular Season Title and ECAC South Division Championship in 2007.

Gentile boasts a career .557 winning percentage and a school-record .871 winning percentage in 2000. He also guided the Redhawks to a school-record 29 wins in 2007.

Gentile was awarded AMCC Coach of the Year in 2000 and 2002. He has coached numerous First Team All-Conference players as well as the 2003 AMCC Player of the Year (Amy Kurtz) and 2004 AMCC Player of the Year (Chrystal Delgado).​
