FRANCISCAN'S GALLIGAN PLACES 46TH AT NCAA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Franciscan University junior Liam Galligan ran a 25:05.5 to place 46th at the NCAA National Championship in Louisville this weekend. He bested his 63rd place finish last season, by beating his time by fifteen seconds. Galligan missed All-American distinction by eight seconds, but he will get a chance next year in his senior season. Stevenson's Patrick Watson led all runners Saturday with a time of 24:13.9 to win the individual title. Ponoma-Pitzer from California won the team title with a score of 164 points (5,13,33,55,58). Carneige Mellon University received 18th place as a team.
