PLAYER OF THE WEEK: PS-Behrend OH JP Goodsel averaged 4.44 kills and 2.56 digs per set in a 3-0 week in AMCC action for the Lions. He had double-digit kills in each win, collecting 40 for the week. Goodsel led the team each match in kills, registering 15 (.345 hitting percentage) against Hiram. He was one dig away from a double-double with 14 kills and nine digs vs. Altoona. Goodsel also added two assists, two service aces, and four blocks on the week while averaging 4.9 points per set.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Thiel OPP JC Govannucci helped the Tomcats go 3-0 last week with 24 kills (2.18 k/s), nine digs 0.82 d/s), two assists and a block, while owning a .420 attack percentage, he registered 10 kills and four digs in Thiel's 3-2 win over Hiram on Wednesday and helped Thiel sweep Saint Vincent and Medaille with 14 kills and five digs...Geneva OH Peter Barbato led Geneva to three wins last week, finishing the three matches with 29 kills (2.90 k/s) on a .318 hitting percentage, while also adding seven aces and 15 digs, and finishing with 37.5 points (3.8 pts/s)...PS-Altoona OH/RS Philip Silva continued his strong play this season during a 2-1 week of AMCC play for the Lions, as he totaled 36.0 points (3.6 points per set), 27 kills (2.70 kills per set), 15 digs (1.50 digs per set), nine total blocks (0.90 blocks per set), and three service aces (0.30 aces per set)...Medaille OH/OPP Malachi Jackson had a total of 28 kills averaging 3.11 kills per set with a .111 hitting percentage, while also adding one assist, five aces, 18 digs, and one block, he recorded14 kills hitting at .321 percent with one assist, three aces and 12 digs against SVC.
