PLAYER OF THE WEEK: PS-Altoona MH Dan Downs had a huge week for the Lions, helping the team go 2-0 with a great performance in the middle. In Monday's 3-0 win over NEAC opponent Wilson, Downs finished with eight digs, six kills, three solo blocks, and one block assist. In Saturday's 3-1 victory over AMCC foe Penn State Behrend, he posted a career-high eight solo blocks to go along with two block assists, and he also had 11 kills while swinging at a .478 clip. On the week, Downs had 17 kills (2.43 kills per set), 14 total blocks (11 solo blocks, 3 block assists, 2.00 blocks per set), and eight digs (1.14 digs per set). He finished with a .311 attack percentage and totaled 29.5 points (4.2 points per set).

 

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Behrend S Anthony Sprentz averaged 9.43 assists per match, dishing out 66 helpers and adding 13 digs in a pair of matches for the Lions, while also adding seven kills and three blocks this week...D'Youville S Ryan Kilijanski began the week with 19 assists, five digs, and service ace against Penn State-Behrend and then recorded 23 assists with three more digs and a service ace against Lancaster Bible before recording 29 assists, with a career high eight service aces and five digs against Saint Elizabeth...Medaille OH Steven Ebert made the most of his final two career home games pacing the Mavs with 20 kills and finishing second on the team with 13 digs, as he averaged 2.5 kills per set and also added two service aces.
