FIELD SET FOR AMCC MEN'S VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT

The AMCC Men's Volleyball Championship Tournament kicks off Tuesday evening with first round matchups. #3 Thiel College will host #6 Geneva College while #5 Penn State Behrend travels to #4 Penn State AltoonaSaint Vincent College has earned the top overall seed and hosting rights to the championship tournament this coming weekend. The Bearcats and #2 Hiram College will each receive first round byes.

Saint Vincent has earned the #1 seed with a 9-0 record in conference play. The Bearcats are led by sophomore OH Shawn McSwiggen who leads the conference with 3.86 kills per set and is fourth in the AMCC with 0.40 service aces per set. Senior L Matthew Klasnic tops Saint Vincent with 2.57 digs per set while sophomore OH Zebediah Wyant averages 8.16 assists per set. 

With an 8-1 conference mark, Hiram enters the tournament as the #2 seed. Junior MH/OH Kyle Martini leads the Terriers with 2.96 kills per set while Garrett Scheidegger tops the league with 0.43 service aces per set. Junior S Matthew Albano's 9.06 assists per set are second-best in the AMCC this season.

#3 Thiel enters the tournament with a 6-3 record in conference play. Sophomore MB Kaleb Proudfoot leads the conference with a .365 hitting percentage and is fifth with 0.81 blocks per set. Sophomore L Cameron Long lead the Tomcats and ranks third in the AMCC with 2.82 digs per set, while sophomore OH Tyler Hussey's 0.40 service aces per set are fifth-best in the league.

Penn State Altoona, Penn State Behrend, and Geneva all finished the regular season with 5-4 records in conference play. Based on set differential tiebreak criteria, Altoona earned the fourth seed, Behrend got the fifth seed, and Geneva the sixth.

#4 Penn State Altoona freshman S Mason Grover leads the conference with 9.26 assists per set. Senior OH Avery Farabaugh is second in the AMCC with 341 kills and 3.75 kills per set, and tied for second with 0.41 service aces per set. Farabaugh also sits in third with 256 digs and fourth with 2.81 digs per set. Senior MB Connor Ebersole leads the team with 0.76 blocks per set and his .313 hitting percentage is fourth-best in the league. 

#5 Penn State Behrend is led by sophomore OH Kyle Hoffman with 177 kills and 2.33 kills per set, while Owen Wienczkowski is right behind him with 2.30 kills per set and a .339 hitting percentage. Sophomore MH Lewis Rhodes leads the Lions and the AMCC with 1.21 blocks per set. 

Rounding out the field is #6 Geneva, as junior DS Joshua Sangrey tops the conference with 349 total digs and 2.98 digs per set. Senior MB Carter Milroy ranks second in the AMCC with 0.95 blocks per set and 270 digs.
