BEHREND MEN'S VOLLEYBALL NAMED UVC ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball squad was named to the 2016 United Volleyball Conference (UVC) All-Academic Team for registering a team grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher for the spring semester. 

The Lions had a combined GPA of 3.23 to be one of six teams honored on the All-Academic Team. The UVC also recognized 48 student-athletes from the league's nine full-time members for their contributions on the court and their excellence in the classroom. Seniors Josh OertlyEric Theiss, sophomore Luke Vensel and freshman Jake Stone were the four players honored for the Lions.

Recipients of this honor must have a minimum GPA of 3.30 (on a 4.00 scale), a 4.10 (on a 5.00 scale) or an 82 (on a 100 point scale) during the spring semester. In addition, the student-athlete must display positive conduct on and off campus and be enrolled full-time at the member institution.
