AMCC PLAYERS LEAD NATION IN KILLS, DIGS

Three AMCC men's volleyball players rank at or near the top of NCAA Division III in year-end statistical standings announced today.

Hilbert College outside hitter Adam Weaver ran away with the #1 ranking in total kills (609) and kills per set (5.03).  He graduates from Hilbert as the Hawks' most decorated men's volleyball player in the program's fourteen year existence. His 1,443 kills, 4.23 kills/set, 3,386 attack attempts, 84 service aces, and 1,624.5 points place him as the program's career leader.

Penn State Altoona sophomore libero Brandon Stitt has officially clinched first place in the nation in digs per set with an average of 3.34.  Stitt played in all 83 sets for Penn State Altoona during the 2014 season, his first as the team's starting libero. His digs per set average, as well as his total of 277 digs, set new single season records for the Lions men's volleyball program.

Joining Stitt in the top five is Hilbert College junior Ryan Ratajczak, who averaged 3.24 digs to rank #4 in Division III.  Ratajczak is a three-peat Top 10 ranked player in digs per set in his collegiate career. The Hawks' libero’s stats actually slipped slightly when he was asked to quarter back the team’s offense after the starting setter went down with a season-ending injury. He became the Hawks' career leader in February and is on pace to break 1,000 digs during his senior year since he currently sits at 862.
