SUNY Delhi will join the AMCC as an affiliate member in the sport of men's and women's swimming, effective for the 2018-19 season. 

The upcoming season will mark SUNY Delhi's first official year as provisional NCAA Division III members. The Broncos moved from the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) to a four year institution in 2015. Up until this year they competed at the NAIA level for swimming and diving. The women's team finished seventh overall, and the men eighth, at the NJCAA National Championships in 2014, producing eight All-Americans that season. The Bronco swimming and diving teams compete in the Kunsela Hall Pool, which is a SCY 25-yard length with a one-meter and three-meter diving board, with an LED board and Daktronics timing.

SUNY Delhi just recently announced the hiring of Mike Burud as the college's new men's and women's swimming and diving head coach beginning with the 2018-19 season. A four-year swimmer and 2014 graduate of St. Bonaventure University, Burud comes to Delhi after spending the last four years as an assistant coach at Marist College. He will oversee the team's transition to NCAA Division III and the program's first year competing in the AMCC.
