FOUR NAMED TO ALL-ECAC TEAM; ARMENIO NAMED ECAC ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

Four AMCC men's soccer players earned All-ECAC recognition this week.

Pitt-Greensburg freshman forward Matt Armenio, who was named the AMCC Rookie of the Year last month, now picks up ECAC Rookie of the Year honors. This gives the Bobcats this distinction for the second consecutive year. Armenio led the Bobcats with 11 goals and finished second on the team in points with 25. Armenio led the AMCC in shots with 72, 33 of those shots getting on goal.

Penn State Behrend senior defender Justin LeDonne was named to the All-ECAC First Team. LeDonne started all 21 games, helping the team record 12 shutouts, six of which were in conference play. On the backline, he allowed only three goals on 35 shots in AMCC action, while also delivering three scores and an assist, including one game winner. To go along with his ECAC selection, LeDonne also garnered AMCC Co-Defensive Player of the Year, All-AMCC First Team, and All-Region Second Team honors this season.

Pitt-Greensburg junior defender Adam Yoder and Penn State Behrend junior forward Blake Cooper were both named to the All-ECAC Second Team.

Yoder, an AMCC second team selection, has been a constant in the Bobcat back line since he stepped on campus. He and the Bobcat defense were responsible for four clean sheets in the 2023 season, as well as eight other matches that the Bobcats conceded just one goal.

Cooper led the team and finished third in the conference with 32 points. He was also the team leader in goals (12) and ranked third in the AMCC in assists (eight). In conference play, Cooper tallied six scores and six assists for 18 points, including two game winners. Cooper was a memebr of the All-AMCC First Team this season, while also being an All-Region Third Team selection.
