BEHREND'S RALPH, PERRITANO HEADLINE MEN'S SOCCER ECAC HONORS

Penn State Behrend men's soccer goalie Chris Ralph was named the 2018 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Defensive Player of the Year and head coach Dan Perritano was named Coach of the Year.

Ralph was also named to the All-ECAC First Team along, while senior forward Dakota Lange, junior midfielder Aaron Harris and junior defender Andrew Mastovich were chosen to the All-ECAC Second Team.

Coming off his first Scholar All-America honors, Ralph finishes his career with three Player of the Year honors after being named AMCC Defensive Player of the Year the last two seasons. He is also a three-time All-Region and All-AMCC First-Team selection. This season, he started in 21 contests and posted a 0.83 goals-against average to go with nine shutouts.

Perritano led the Lions to their first-ever NCAA Sweet 16 appearance in 2018. Along the way, he won his ninth AMCC Championship and his fourth AMCC Coach of the Year honor. Behrend was also the AMCC Regular-Season Champions with an 8-0-1 conference record.

Lange, Harris and Mastovich are earning their first ECAC awards after being named to the All-AMCC First Team. Lange and Harris joined Ralph on being chosen to the All-Great Lakes Region Team this season.

Lange led the team with nine goals and three assists for 21 points, recording a team-leading three game-winning goals. Harris tallied four goals and was second on the team with four assists for 12 points. Mastovich scored three times this season, but most importantly led the defense that allowed just two goals in conference games and 17 goals overall for a 0.75 goals-against average.
