AMCC ANNOUNCES MEN'S LACROSSE ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM AND POSTSEASON AWARDS

Hilbert College senior A Jimmy Duffy has been named the 2019 AMCC Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Year. Duffy had a very balanced year, finishing fifth in the conference in goals scored (27), third in assists with (25) and tied for second in total points with (52). He wrapped up his career with (164) points, which is third best in Hilbert history and finished fifth in career goals scored with (80). He earned AMCC Player of the Week honors and was a first team all-conference selection in both 2018 and 2019.

La Roche University sophomore FOS Shawn McDanel is the Defensive Player of the Year. McDanel is a  two-time AMCC Player of the Week. He led the AMCC in ground balls and faceoff and ranked third in caused turnovers. 

Newcomer of the Year honors goes to Hilbert freshman A Drew Werner. In his rookie campaign, Werner finished first on the team and second in the conference in assists with 29 and was third on the team in scoring with 43 points (good for 6th in the AMCC). He garnered AMCC Offensive Player of the Week honors on April 8th.

Hilbert head coach Mike Carbery has been selected as the AMCC Coach of the Year. Carbery led the Hawks to a 3-0 record in AMCC play as Hilbert was named the 2019 AMCC champion.
