FRANCISCAN'S McCAIG SETS PROGRAM ALL-TIME POINT RECORD

The Franciscan University men's lacrosse team fell to Heidelberg, 25-12, in the opening game of the 2018 season Saturday afternoon.

The Barons fall to 0-1 on the young season while Heidelberg improved to 2-0 on the year.

Senior Jonas McCaig entered the game with 133 career points, just two shy of the FUS' career record of 135th, held by now assistant coach Paul Modzelewski. With McCaig's first assist of the game and third point, the Painted Post, NY native became Franciscan's all-time point leader with 136. McCaig finished the game with three goals and three assists to push his point total to 139.
