PLAYER OF THE WEEK: PS-Altoona FR Peter Nusbaum led the way for the Lions in his first collegiate round in Saturday's Pitt-Bradford Invitational, shooting 71 to win the event's individual title out of 47 golfers. His score is tied for the fourth-lowest in a single round in team history, and it helped Penn State Altoona shoot 298 as a team to win the invitational.

 

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Behrend JR Jake Caldwell led the Lions at the two-day Wooster Invitational over the weekend, as the junior carded a 76 on day one and came back with a 74 on day two for a total of 150, good for ninth place...Mt. Aloysius SO Luke Melisko shot his career-low score, helping the Mounties to a fourth place finish at Pitt-Bradford, as he finished in a tie for third, individually, also making it his best career finish...Pitt-Bradford FR Curtis Barner had a strong outing in his Pitt-Bradford debut, firing a 5-over 75 to take seventh place in the season-opening Pitt-Bradford Invitational...Hilbert JR Michael Petrus opened the 2022 season carding an 82 at the Pitt-Bradford Invitational, good for a top-25 finish amongst the field of 47...Pitt-Greensburg SR Chandler Goodwin finished with the best score for UPG in his first event on the golf team, as he was placed in the No. 1 group and came through for the Bobcats with a score of 85.
