The AMCC Men's Golf Championship is set to tee off on Monday, October 18 at Butler Country Club in Butler, PA to determine the 2021 AMCC men's golf champion. Ten-time AMCC champion Penn State Behrend will look to defend its title.
Penn State Altoona currently sits at the top of conference rankings with a 306.00 team scoring average. The Lions are led by sophomore Trey Heffelfinger who tops the league with a 74.09 average, while junior Andrew Ferguson ranks second with a 76.45 average. Also ranking in the top ten for the Lions are freshmen Iain Murphy-Herndon (4th, 78.11), Logan Divald (5th, 78.18), and Jacob Carlin (8th, 80.57).
Penn State Behrend ranks second in the AMCC with a 317.71 team scoring average. Senor Alex Pol leads the Lions, and ranks third in the conference, with a 76.57 scoring average. Junior Ryan Johnson ranks sixth with a 79.29 average while freshman Phil Pedano is ninth in the league with an 81.29.
Rounding out the top three teams is Mount Aloysius College with a 333.29 average. Junior Aloysius Lee leads the Mounties with a 81.86 scoring average, good for 10th in the conference.
The tournament is a two day, 36 hole, stroke play event. Monday's first pairings will tee off at 9:00am. Click here for live scoring throughout the two-day event.
Tuesday's action will commence at 9:00am, with pairings determined by the Day One results. The tournament team champion will receive the AMCC's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament which will be held May 10-13 in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL.
