PITT-BRADFORD HOLDS FOUR STROKE LEAD AT GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP

Pitt-Bradford and Penn St. Behrend finished the first day of play at the AMCC Men's Golf Championship separated by just four strokes.

The defending champion Panthers posted a team score of 320, while the Behrend Lions--winners of nine AMCC titles--carded a 324.  Penn St. Altoona was just five strokes behind Behrend at 329.

Players from each team sat atop the individual leader board.  UPB's top golfer, Cary Ignaczak, and Behrend's #5 JT Kuchnick both carded a 77 (+5).  Penn St. Altoona's Ethan Yohe was third at 78.

Play resumeds Monday morning at 9am at Avalong Lakes Golf & Country Club.  The tournament winner will reaceive the conference's automatic bnid to the NCAA Div. III tournament.
