MAVERICKS WIN HILBERT INVITATIONAL

Medaille College needed a par out of their #5 golfer, freshman Bobby Merino on the 18th hole to secure the tournament win and Merino delivered with the par as the sun was setting for the day. The Mavs ended the day with a (328/+40), one stroke ahead of Pitt-Bradford (329/+41) for the tournament victory. Hilbert College (358/+70) finished third and D'Youville College (394/+106) fourth. The victory marked the Mavs' third win of the season, the most wins in a single season in program history. 

Pitt-Bradford freshman Matt Moonan took home medalist honors with the low round of the day (78/+6). Hilbert sophomore Caleb Nellis finished runner up with a 79/+7.

Maverick sophomore Chuck Panepinto finished third with an 80/+8. Medaille's freshman duo of Ryan Langhorne and Bobby Merino, along with Pitt-Bradford's Aaron VanSickles, tied for fifth place with matching scores 82/+10. Junior Adam Kroll finished with an 84/+12 to earn himself his third top ten finish of the season, an eight place tie with Pitt-Bradford's John Bedford.

Hilbert sophomore Jeff Morgan took fourth place with an 81/+9.
