TROUT NAMED TWO-TIME AMCC MEN'S GOLFER OF THE YEAR

For the second straight year, Pitt-Greensburg sophomore Javon Trout has been named the AMCC Men's Golfer of the Year. Trout led the AMCC in scoring average for the second consecutive year at 75.9. He finished in the top five in seven of eight events, including three first-place finishes. Trout opened the season with a win in a three-person playoff at the Pitt-Bradford Invitational and he tied for first with a 2-under 70 at the Messiah College Falcon Classic.

La Roche freshman Pat McCall is the 2016 Newcomer of the Year. He compiled a 79.44 scoring average throughout his freshman campaign, which was the fifth-best in the conference. His top performance came at the Penn State Altoona Invitational, where he finished in third place after shooting a 73.

La Roche head coach Jim Tinkey has been selected as the AMCC Coach of the Year. After a seventh place finish in 2015, Tinkey led the Redhawks to a second place finish at the 2016 AMCC Championship.
