PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Hilbert G Hunter Martineau totaled 46 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and dished 16 assists in Hilbert's 81-78 AMCC win at Pitt-Bradford November 26 and their come-from behind, 85-77 overtime win at Elmira November 30. Martineau averaged 23 points, 7.5 rebounds and eight assists per game with an incredible +8.0 assist to turnover ratio. He found his shooting touch, hitting 13-of-18 from the field (.722) and 19-of-21 at the foul line (.905) The Orlando, Fla native put the Hawks on his back and carried them in their overtime win at Elmira when he tossed in a career-high 32 points (10-12 FG, 12-13 FT), finishing with 11 assists without a turnover in the 45 minute game. His nine rebounds fell one short of posting his second triple double in a one-week period. He continues to lead the AMCC in assists per game, jumping to 8.0 per game currently, while ranking 9th in the AMCC in scoring and 12th in rebounding.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Franciscan C Matt Trent had a strong week averaging a double double of 17 points and 10 rebounds per game, as he scored 10 points and seven rebounds in a conference-opening loss at Pitt-Greensburg, and then followed that up with season highs 24 points and 13 rebounds at Geneva on Saturday...Pitt-Greensburg G JoJo France posted double-figure scoring performances in both of Pitt-Greensburg's victories this past week over Franciscan and Penn State Behrend, as he averaged 21.0 points, five rebounds, shot 43.3% from the floor, and 90% from the free-throw line...La Roche F Tyler Frederick helped the Redhawks to their first victory in conference play over Penn St. Altoona, 113-84, as he was the games leading scorer and rebounder, finishing with 22 points and eight rebounds, shooting an efficient 8-14 (57%) from the field and a perfect 6-6 from the free-throw line...Medaille G Kendall McGill showed how valuable he can be to the team despite them losing their only game this week, as he shot over 60% from the field scoring 20 points on the night, while also adding two steals in the game and three defensive rebounds...PS-Behrend G Kenny Fukon shot 57.9 percent from the floor and averaged 16.5 points in a 1-1 week for the Lions, as he recorded double-digit points in each game, registering 15 against Medaille and 18 vs. Pitt-Greensburg, while also averaging 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game...D'Youville F Grant Beyer continued to be the top offensive player for the Spartans as they took on Alfred State last Tuesday, leading the team with 20 points in the five-point loss to the Pioneers, while also adding six rebounds and four steals in the loss.
