PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Hilbert G Quran Briggs led the Hawks this week averaging, 27.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. The sophomore guard scored a career high 33 points, while shooting 13-for-19 from the field during the middle of week in two point overtime loss against Elmira College and followed it up with a 22 point and nine rebound effort past weekend in another two point loss against Franciscan University. Briggs also added six assists, three steals, and one block on the week.
BEST OF THE REST: PS-Altoona C PJ Charles had a solid week for the Lions against a pair of tough non-conference opponents, as he recorded 15 points, nine rebounds and two assists in a home win over Juniata, and followed that up with his second double-double of the year with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and assists in a loss to Salisbury...Pitt-Greensburg G Matthew Marinchak set the single-game record for three-pointers made in a game with nine against Hood on Sunday, recording a career-high 29 points in the game...PS-Behrend SR RJ Marsh averaged 10.5 points behind 64.3 percent shooting in a 1-1 week for the Lions, as he went 9-for-14 from the field and 3-for-5 from three-point range, while averaging 5.0 rebounds per game.
