MEN'S BASKETBALL ALL-CONFERENCE RELEASED; FREDERICK TAKES TOP HONORS

La Roche University junior forward Tyler Frederick has been named the AMCC Men's Basketball Player of the Year. Frederick led the AMCC in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 19.5 points per game and 11.6 rebounds per game (10th in D-III). He shot 53.3% from the field (8th in AMCC), 34.5% from deep and 77.4% at the free throw line (11th in AMCC). Frederick recorded 15 double-doubles (T-10th in D-III) in just 23 games. He was one of two players in the conference this season to be named the USBWA National Player of the Week (1/7). He was also named the AMCC Player of the Week three times this season (12/23, 1/6, 2/17). The junior forward scored a career-high 34 points on December 21. Frederick has posted at least 20 points and 10 rebounds in eight games this season.

Penn State Behrend senior forward Dorian Connors was selected as the AMCC Defensive Player of the Year. Connors helped the Lions hold the best scoring defense in the league (64.3 ppg). He led the AMCC in blocks per game (2.4), ranked 13th in rebounds and tied for 14th in steals. He was the leading rebounder in 10 games this season. Collors tallied a career-high 23 points at Medaille and posted two double-doubles this season, while adding a career-high six blocks against Penn State Altoona.

Penn State Altoona guard/forward Druw Harman is the AMCC Newcomer of the Year. Harman made a big splash in his first season of collegiate basketball. In conference play, he ranked third in steals (43), blocks (41), blocks per game (1.6), and defensive rebounds (161), fourth in steals per game (1.7) and total rebounds (200), fifth in rebounds per game (8.0), 11th in free throws (79), 14th in field goals (126) and points (351), 18th in offensive rebounds (39), 19th in points per game (14.0), and 20th in assists (54). Harman has recorded seven double-doubles this season, and among all NCAA Division III players, he is 54th in blocks and 62nd in in blocks per game.

Pitt-Greensburg head coach Brody Jackson has been named the AMCC Coach of the Year. Jackson led the Bobcats to a 16-4 conference mark and a No. 2 seed in the conference tournament. The Bobcats were part of a tremendous turnaround season, as they finished 4-14 in conference play last season, and a ninth place finish in conference standings. Jackson guided Pitt-Greensburg to their first appearance in the postseason tournament since 2016 when they claimed their last conference title.
