The La Roche College Redhawks' impressive 2019 season has garnered national recognition. The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced today the 2019 NABC Coaches' Division III All-District teams and coaches, recognizing the best men's collegiate basketball student-athletes and coaches in the division, selected by member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division III. Senior guard Zach Gould earned a spot on the Great Lakes Region First Team. Coach Hermie Carmichael was named the Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year.

Gould continues to rack up accolades. Today he was named to the NABC Coaches' Division III Great Lakes All-District First Team. Gould was one of the nation's top shooters from long range. He led the AMCC with 87 three-pointers and shot 47.3% from three-point range, which ranks as the sixth highest in AMCC history. He ranked second in the AMCC with 15.3 points per game, third in free throw percentage, and sixth in assist to turnover ratio.

Earlier in the week, Gould was named to D3Hoops All-Great Lakes Region Second Team. He is the AMCC Player of the Year, an AMCC Player of the Week, a 1000 point scorer, and on the AMCC All-Tournament Team. He ranks among the program's leaders in assists and three-pointers.

Coach Carmichael is the NABC Coaches' Division III Great Lakes Coach of the Year. Carmichael was also named the AMCC Coach of the Year for the second straight season and for the third time. Carmichael guided the Redhawks to their second straight AMCC Regular Season Title and to the first-ever 18-0 season in AMCC history.

Carmichael's teams have advanced to the AMCC Championship Game the past three seasons and he earned his 100th career victory earlier this year.
