PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Pitt-Greensburg OF Ben Green put together an impressive performance at the plate to lead the Bobcats to a 4-1 record, including two wins at Medaille, to open AMCC play. Green posted a .462 batting average, with three home runs, 11 RBI, 11 runs scored, a double, and two walks. He drilled home runs against Chatham, at Thiel, and at Medaille and posted multi-hit efforts in four of the five games, including a 4-for-6 performance with four runs, a home run, and three RBI in the second game against Medaille. Green is currently tied for the conference lead in home runs (4) and is third in RBI (15).

 

BEST OF THE REST: Mount Aloysius OF Dan Singer was a key offensive cog for the Mounties in a 4-0 week, as he hit .333 (4-for-12), stole one base and scored eight runs, while also driving in the winning run against Wilson in the bottom of the 7th...La Roche C Shane Roebuck hit .615 (8-for-13) with seven RBI, five runs, two doubles, and a home run in three wins last week...Alfred State DH Danny Doran had a monster day as the Pioneers opened up AMCC play, as he went 4-for-4 with a pair of homers and four RBI in the opener vs. LaRoche, and then went 2-for-5 with a RBI in the nightcap...PS-Behrend INF Scott Sada averaged .375 in a 4-0 week for the Lions, as he tallied five extra-base hits out of six total hits, including four doubles and one triple and scored the game-winning run in a 2-1 win over Fredonia...Pitt-Bradford C Austin Parent went 3-for-7, homered, drove in three runs and scored twice in the Panthers' AMCC opening series against Mount Aloysius on Sunday...D'Youville OF Connor Truitt had a strong week for the Spartans, as he collected five hits and two walks in 11 plate appearances over five games to put up a .455 batting average, scoring three runs over the week with one stolen base and only one strikeout...Medaille INF Shawn Filas went 4-for-7 with three extra base hits, including a home run and three RBI in a doubleheader against Pitt-Greensburg.
