PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Mount Aloysius FR Tyler Quade threw two complete games that earned the Mounties two victories, both in crucial series against AMCC Tournament qualifiers. He won his first start against La Roche, on Tuesday, where he allowed three hits and one run, also striking out four batters. He followed that up by winning his second start, allowing four hits and a run, while striking out nine batters. On the week, the freshman threw 14.0 innings, pitching to a 1.29 ERA and striking out 13 batters. He leads the AMCC in conference play in wins (4) and batting average against (.157) and is second in ERA (1.29).

 

BEST OF THE REST: Pitt-Greensburg JR Michael Sullivan had a career-high ten strikeouts in a complete-game win against Hilbert, giving up just one earned run with four hits over seven innings...Hilbert FR Griffin McAndrews allowed just two hits over five shutout innings and added three strikeouts to lift the Hawks to a 5-1 win over Medaille on Tuesday afternoon...Pitt-Bradford SR Alex Fetter picked up the save in the Panthers' 5-3 win over Penn State-Altoona, as he entered the game with the tying run on first in the ninth, Fetter recorded an out on a fielder's choice then struck out two straight batters to preserve the win for the Panthers....PS-Altoona SR Austin Miller had a great start on the mound last Monday at non-conference opponent Penn College to earn the win for the Lions, as he went five innings and limited the Wildcats to just one run on two hits and two walks while recording four strikeouts, securing his first victory of the season...Medaille SR Zach Archibald threw 17.0 innings with 18 strikeouts and a 4.76 ERA, allowing nine earned runs while throwing two complete games.
