PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Hilbert INF John Riviere-Vejas had a monumental week, swiping a staggering nine bases in just four games to put him atop the AMCC with 12 stolen bases for the season. Rivière-Vejas was equally as impressive at the plate logging nine hits, including a pair of doubles, to finish the week with an impressive .692 batting average and .765 on base percentage over 17 plate appearances. In addition, he scored eight runs and drove in two more to lead the Hawks to wins over Geneva and Sage. Rivière-Vejas now sits in the top-five in the AMCC in batting average (.450), on base percentage (.520) and runs scored (15) in addition to leading the league in stolen bases.

 

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Altoona UTIL Jake Hillard had a great showing at the plate in three games last week, recording a multi-hit performance in each contest as he went .538 (7-for-13) with seven RBI, four runs scored, two home runs, and two doubles...Mount Aloysius C/INF Aidan Bell continued his hot early season hitting on the Mounties trip to Myrtle Beach, as he picked up eight hits, including five for extra bases, hitting .444 on the week with two homeruns and 11 RBIs...Alfred State P/1B/OF Matteo Avallone recorded a .464 batting average and .786 slugging percentage in a span of seven games this past week, as he hit .464 with 13 hits, six RBIs, seven runs scored, three home runs and four stolen bases...Pitt-Bradford C/INF Evan Fragela had another big week for the Panthers as the sophomore catcher hit .455 with a home run and three RBIs in three tough Pitt-Bradford losses in a weekend event at Baldwin Wallace, as he reached base at a .538 clip with a .727 slugging percentage...Medaille OF/LHP Tyler Siwek went 5-for-13 at the plate with three doubles, six RBIs, one run scored, and one stolen base, earning a .385 batting average, a .429 on base percentage, and a .615 slugging percentage, while also adding nine total putouts on nine chances in centerfield...Pitt-Greensburg OF Jacob Davey went a combined 9-for-14 with a double and an RBI for the Bobcats last week, recording an overall average of .643 and an on base percentage of .688, as he went 4-for-4 against Hiram and added a walk to his stats sheet.
