Eight AMCC baseball players were named to the 2025 D3baseball.com and ABCA/Rawlings All-Region 7 Teams. Players were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors at the various schools.
The No. 3 Penn State Behrend baseball team finished 1-2 in the NCAA Division III Regional Tournament, picking up a dominate 14-3 victory over No. 4 Manchester University and falling 11-5 to No. 2/18 Keystone College on Saturday.
#6 Pitt-Bradford earned the 15-4 upset victory over #3 Pitt-Greensburg in Game One of the AMCC Baseball Championship Tournament before #4 Hilbert College walked off #5 Mount Aloysius College in Game Two to advance in the winners bracket heading into Thursday.
Burkey pitched his eighth complete game of the season and earned his eighth win against Pitt-Bradford on Friday. Burkey threw seven innings, striking out six and giving up one earned run. Burkey's eight complete games leads the nation in all of NCAA Division III.
Haynes reached base safely in 8-of-9 plate appearances in Thursday afternoon's doubleheader against Pitt-Bradford to finish the AMCC regular season as the conference leader in batting average (.528), on base percentage (.621), hits (28) and stolen bases (8) in AMCC play. Haynes had three hits on the day, scored two runs, walked twice, was hit by three pitches and drove in another run, all while making seven putouts in the field over seven chances, good for a 1.000 fielding percentage. He finished the week with a .750 batting average, .889 on base percentage and 1.639 OPS.
Penn State Behrend baseball senior designated hitter Mac Ciocco was named to D3baseball.com's 11th Team of the Week for games running through April 21-27.
Moorhouse tossed a complete game four-hitter without allowing an earned run. Moorhouse tallied seven strikeouts on Thursday afternoon to lift the Hawks to a thrilling 3-2 walk-off win over Alfred State.
Ciocco slashed .609/.654/1.130, as he hit 14-for-23 with six doubles, two home runs, 10 runs scored and 19 RBI in six games played. He recorded multiple hits in five of the six games with three hits in three contests. Ciocco finished with a combined nine hits and 11 RBI in doubleheader sweeps at Hiram and Fredonia on Tuesday and Wednesday. In a game two win at Pitt-Greensburg, he went 3-for-4 with a game-high five runs batted in.
Bolla helped secure a 9-0 game one win over Altoona, tossing the first complete game shutout of the season for Behrend. The second year starting pitcher only allowed three hits and two walks to go along with eight strikeouts in the complete game effort to earn his fifth victory on the mound. Bolla also recorded his 100th career strikeout on Saturday.
Smith had a week in which he batted .533 and recorded a 1.467 slugging percentage. In a doubleheader against Penn St. Altoona, Smith hit four home runs and drove in 12. He tied the program record for home runs in a game (3) and RBI in a game (8). Six of the ten times he reached base, he scored. For the week, Smith tallied 13 RBI, six runs, and six extra base hits, including four home runs.
Bailey picked up his fourth win of the season against Penn-State Altoona last Monday. Bailey pitched a complete 7.0 inning game scattering one run over five hits, while tallying 15 strikeouts (19.29 k/9 average).
Ingold had a big week at the plate in doubleheaders against AMCC opponents Alfred State and Pitt-Bradford. Against Alfred State last Monday, he went 4-for-6 with a home run, an RBI, a walk, and a run scored. On the road Sunday, in a split with Pitt-Bradford, the junior hit 3-for-5 with a home run, three RBI, two walks, a double, and two runs scored. On the week, Ingold hit .636 (7-for-11) with four RBI, three walks, three runs scored, two home runs, and two doubles while recording a 1.364 sluggling percentage.
Chamberlain tossed a complete game for his first collegiate win last Tuesday in game one of the Lions' doubleheader sweep at AMCC opponent La Roche. The right-hander gave up just one run, five hits, and no walks while recording six strikeouts.
Hillard had a great day at the plate in the Lions' doubleheader sweep of AMCC opponent La Roche on Tuesday, combining to go 5-for-8 (.625) with five runs scored, five RBI, two doubles, a home run, a walk, and a stolen base.
Cook had a solid week, slashing .400/.571/1.133 on the way to a 4-1 week for the Mounties. He was even better in conference play, as he went 4-for-6 in the series at Alfred State, reaching base all five plate appearances in Game Two. He tallied four hits and six RBI, while hitting three homeruns. For the week, he drove in eight total runs and scored eight more. Cook now leads the AMCC in homeruns and is second in slugging percentage.
The first AMCC Baseball Games of the Week for the 2025 season feature Mount Aloysius College traveling to Alfred State College for a twinbill on Saturday afternoon.
Reitebach earned a win and a save on the week. The senior right hander went four innings, allowing one run and striking out four to pickup the win at Alfred University on Wednesday. He then shutout Allegheny over the final three frames on Sunday, tallying five strikeouts, to earn the save in a 3-1 win.
Domer batted .800 (12-for-15) over four games last week, including a 1.333 slugging percentage. He led the Bobcats to a 3-1 record on the week, including two conference wins over La Roche. He tallied eight RBI and nine runs scoreed while hitting two home runs. His 12 hits led the team for the week and he recorded mulitple hits in all four games while also scoring at least one run in each game. His .508 batting average leads the AMCC, and his three home runs are tied for third in the conference.
