The postseason honors continue to roll in for Mount Aloysius College freshman baseball player Tyler Quade, as he was was most recently named the D3baseball.com Rookie of the Year, while also being named to the 2022 All-America fourth team. Last month, Quade became the first player in conference history to be named the AMCC Newcomer, Player, and Pitcher of the Year in the same season.

Quade jumped onto the scene in 2022, very quickly becoming a force for the Mounties both on the mound and at the plate. At the dish, Quade was one of few two-way players that also hit during the games he pitched. He led the AMCC in batting average, hitting .435 on the season and .476 in conference play. He finished first in the league in triples (4), slugging percentage (.794), and total bases (50) in conference play. He also finished in the top five in home runs (2) and on-base percentage (.514). His .435 average ranked him 36th nationally, which was the third-best mark by a freshman. The average also ranked him fourth in program history in a single season. On the mound, Quade led the league in wins and batting average against (.157). The freshman made five starts, going 4-1, with a 1.29 ERA, earning a complete game in all five starts. Quade's contributions helped lead the Mounties to their best-ever finish in the AMCC Regular Season.
