LA ROCHE BASEBALL FINISHES 2016 RANKED FIFTH IN NATION

The La Roche College baseball team finished the year ranked fifth in D3Baseball's top 25 poll and sixth in ABCA/Rawlings top 30 poll.

The Redhawks earned the rankings after winning the 2016 NCAA Mideast Regional Championship and advancing to the College World Series National Semifinal. They came within a game of playing for the National Championship.

La Roche won their third straight AMCC Conference Championship, had two All-Americans, six All-Region, the AMCC Player and Pitcher of the Year, eight All-Conference players, and the Regional and Conference Coach of the Year.

Junior outfielder Corey Lazor led the nation in triples and the Redhawks led the nation in double-plays turned. They ranked second in home runs and triples, third in runs and hits, fourth in slugging percentage and sixth in doubles.
