Box Score 2 MYRTLE BEACH, SC - The Hilbert College softball team split a pair of games today against two different Penn State campuses. The Hawks dropped a 6-2 3:30pm contest to Penn State Berks and then regrouped for a 7-6 victory over Penn State Schuylkill to even their record again at 3-3.
Hilbert strung together six runs in the bottom of the second inning in the 5:30 game against Schuylkill. They tacked on one additional run in the bottom of the fourth and then held on as the Lions rallied with two runs in both the top of 5 and 7 after crossing the plate twice in the fourth.
Morgan McNeill went 2 for 4 with 2RBIs as she led the Hawks who collected eight hits.

Hannah Prenoveau and
Crystal Hailey each poked a run home to work for the win.
Rachel Allen earned her second win in three games as she struck-out seven along with 11 hits and five earned runs.
With bases loaded, Hailey walked and forced Quiroga to the plate for an unearned run since she reached first after she beat the catcher's throw. Cooley and Bailey singled, sending a pair of runs home. And McNeill's single earned two more RBI's and cleared Cooly and Bailey off the bags.
Morgan Grosch scored the last run of the inning.
Grosch walked home for the Hawks' final run in the fourth inning.
Two hours earlier, Penn State Berks closed their spring break with 6-2 victory against the Hawks and improved to 5-1. These Lions scored runs in the first, second and fourth innings while Hilbert found a pair of runs in the top of the sixth.
Schuylkill posted eight hits while limiting the Hawks to three; each team finished with three errors.
Bailey,
Wyann Jackson and
Alexandria Wankel were credited with the three Hilbert hits.
Amanda Hucksoll and Wankel were the two baserunners who scored.
Jaelyn Gotham (1-2) went the distance with six innings and faced 29 batters. She struck out one, walked three and gave up four earned runs in the loss.
