ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team fell 3-0 to Penn State Altoona in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action, before defeating Bethany 3-0 in a non-conference match on Saturday afternoon.

Match One:
Score: Penn State Altoona 3, Penn State Behrend 0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-23)
Records: Penn State Behrend (10-15, 5-4 AMCC), Penn State Altoona (15-11, 5-4 AMCC)

Noteworthy:

* The Behrend Lions earned the No. 5 seed for the AMCC playoffs
* The Lions will travel to No. 4 Altoona for the first round of the playoffs on Tuesday night

Key Moments:

* The Altoona Lions were awarded another home match with the win
* After Behrend took the first point in the opening set, Altoona went on a 5-0 run and held the lead until the end
* In the second set, the Behrend Lions had a 19-18 lead but Altoona won the next seven out of nine points to win 25-21
* The third set was the closest of the match with Altoona taking a 23-20 lead down the stretch
* Behrend won the next two points but a kill by Avery Farabaugh got Altoona to match point
* Back-to-back service errors by both teams eventually got Altoona to 25-23

Key Moments:

* The Behrend Lions hit .299 for the match and .417 in the first set to defeat the Bison
* Caden Mealy (Meadville, PA/Meadville) pushed out 26 assists, and added four kills, two digs and two aces
* Daniel Easly (Erie, PA/McDowell) led with 10 kills and seven digs, while hitting .529
* Stephen Baker (Pittsburgh, PA/Bishop Canevin) tallied a season-best eight kills
* Down 5-4 in the first set, Behrend went on a 14-1 run to take an 18-6 lead
* The Lions only allowed four more points for a 25-10 win
* Behrend never trailed in the second set, winning the final three points on a kill from Baker, an attack error by Bethany and clinching the second set on a service ace from Mealy
