Bobcat tennis dominates La Roche, moves to 2-0 in AMCC

GREENSBURG, Pa:  After cruising past La Roche College, 9-0 on Sunday, the Pitt-Greensburg women's tennis team now sits at 2-0 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.

The Lady Bobcats were barely tested on Sunday, sweeping singles and doubles competition.  Shayla Landman rolled past Sarah Brunner at #1 singles, winning 6-3, 6-0 while also cruising to an 8-1 win at #1 doubles with partner Corinne Kirk.  Kirk won her #2 singles match 6-4, 6-2 over Emily Huwe.

Cayla Ray and Sydney Geary won their #3 and #4 singles matches, respectively.   Ray won 6-1, 6-0 while Geary won 6-2, 6-0 as both players moved to 2-0 in AMCC singles competition.  Ray and Geary also posted an 8-1 victory in their #2 doubles matchup.
Amanda Jepsen improved her record to 2-0 in the AMCC with a victory at #5 singles, 6-2, 6-2.  Emily Frye won in 3 sets at #6 singles, then teamed up with Jepsen for the 8-3 victory at #3 doubles to give the Bobcats an impressive 9-0 team win.

The Bobcats will travel to Buffalo, NY  this weekend where they will square off against AMCC foes D'Youville College on Friday (Sept 19) and Medaille College on Saturday (Sept 20).  Match time on Friday against DYC is 5:30pm while Saturday's match will start at 2pm against Medaille.  Pitt-Greensburg will have a quick turnaround as they host AMCC opponent Mt. Aloysius at 2pm on Sunday at Greensburg Racquet Club.
