Elizabeth Hilfrank (Norfolk, Mass./King Philip Regional) placed 14th in a field of 280 runners, leading the Gettysburg College women's cross country team at the Gettysburg Invitational on Saturday.
The Bullets finished with a team score of 157 to finish sixth among 26 teams. Division I University of Maryland captured the team title with 35 points and was followed by Grove City College (91), Muhlenberg College (117), Waynesburg University (125), and Susquehanna University (142).
On a cool and windy morning, Hilfrank clocked a season-best time of 23:19 for the women's 6,000-meter course. Senior
Julie Laudenschlager (Bay Shore, N.Y./West Islip) was Gettysburg's next finisher, taking 22nd in 23:45.
Completing the team scoring for the Bullets were freshman
Sarah Rinehart (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty), who placed 25th in 23:47, junior
Laura Duquette (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra), who took 51st in a season-best of 24:25, and senior
Emily Hartman (Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville), who was 54th in 24:28.
Gettysburg's displacers were senior
Gwen Porter (Narberth, Pa./Lower Merion), who took 55th in 24:31, and freshman
Sarah Linton (San Marino, Calif./San Marino), was came in 63rd in 24:38.
Alexandra Lucki of the University of Maryland won the race in 21:50.
Gettysburg competes in its final non-championship meet of the season on Friday, when it travels to the Lebanon Valley Invitational.
