HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Hilbert College women's soccer team fell in a 3-0 defeat to D'Youville College this afternoon on the Hawks varsity field. The Spartans improved to 2-1 in AMCC standings while the Hawks dropped to 0-4.
Jenna Castricone was credited with 15 saves in the match, making nine in the second period to set a personal high single-game saves record in her career which also turned into her third double-figure saves games this year.
The Spartans outshot the Hawks 33-8 with three times as many shots on frame (18-6).

Emily MacKinnon and
Kaitlyn Layman were credited with shots on goal for Hilbert.
D'Youville's Rachel Hermanski scored twice for the visitors. Her first goal took the Spartans to intermission with a 1-0 lead and she opened the second half up with another tally in the 72nd minute. Liz Lyons found the back of the net to finish the day's scoring with less than five minutes remaining.
The women's soccer team returns to the Hawks varsity field this Saturday, October 10 when they host Pitt.-Greensburg at 3:15pm.
