NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Westminster took a 4-2 lead after two innings and never looked back, claiming a 7-5 win over Penn State Behrend Saturday afternoon.

Key Moments:

* A Mac Ciocco (Venetia, PA/Peters Township) RBI double and Thomas Nicely (Delmont, PA/Franklin Regional) RBI groundout gave Behrend an early 2-0 lead
* The Titans answered in the bottom of the first with back-to-back runs batted in to knot the score at two apiece
* Westminster took a two-run lead (4-2) in the second inning courtesy of an RBI single from Matthew Randza
* The Lions cut the deficit to one on a sac fly off the bat of Ciocco in the top of the fourth
* In the bottom of the fourth, the Titans reclaimed a two-run lead, thanks to an RBI single from Logan Murgenovich
* The Titans grabbed a 6-3 advantage with a leadoff homer from Carter Chinn in the bottom of the fifth
* Ciocco once again cut into Westminster's lead in the top of the sixth with a two-out double, scoring Silvio Ionadi (Pittsburgh, PA/Plum) all the way from first base
* Chris Davis struck a leadoff homerun for the Titans in the bottom half of the inning
* Behrend threatened in the top of the seventh, loading the bases with one out but Titans reliever Tyler Parsons worked out of the jam
* Freshman catcher Adam Cooper (State College, PA/State College) shortened the Lions defict to two runs (7-5), driving in his first collegiate run in the top of the eighth
* Parsons picked up his first win of the season on the mound for Westminster, while Wyatt Walker earned his first save with a scoreless ninth inning
* Ionadi and Anthony Slate (Hopewell, PA/Hopewell) each recorded three hits for Behrend and Ciocco delivered a game-high three RBIs. Freshman Evan Del Signore (Trafford, PA/Penn Trafford) threw 2.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen, allowing only one hit
* For the Titans, Chris Davis finished 4-for-4 at the plate, while Chinn tallied two RBIs
