ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team will take on Grove City at the soccer complex on Wednesday, Sep. 13. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

* The Lions were 1-1 this past weekend at the Baron Fall Classic, competing against Muskingum and host Franciscan
* Behrend earned its first victory of the season, 4-0, over Muskingum on Friday
* Senior Johnathan Swann (Allison Park, PA/North Allegheny) tallied a multi-goal contest for the Lions
* Fellow senior Zak Schwarzel (South Park, PA/South Park) notched his first score of the season two minutes before the end of the first half
* Freshman Lucas Pittman (Plum, PA/Plum) recorded his first collegiate point which was an assist on teammate Cole Thomas' (Pittsburgh, PA/Baldwin) goal
* In Friday's contest, Behrend outshot the muskies 35-3
* Franciscan took Saturday's game by a score of 3-0, capitalizing on two penalty kicks in the match
* Schwarzel and John Ziobro (Westtown, NY/Minisink Valley) had the best chances to score for the Lions off a corner kick in the 81st minute, but both of their shots were stopped by the Barons goalkeeper

* Grove City has started the 2023 season with an 0-2-2 record, dropping its last contest at Denison (2-0)
* Sophomore Aidan Eck has notched the only points of the season for the Wolverines, which was an unassisted goal against Lancaster Bible
