Behrend Men's Volleyball Wins in Straight Sets Over Wilson

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team swept Wilson 3-0 in non-conference action on Monday afternoon over Spring Break.

Key Moments:

* The Lions won by straight set in the last two matches
* Twelve different players registered a kill or more while the team posted 14 blocks assists
* Joshua Elegeer (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) posted 10 digs and Cameron Schleicher (Meadville, PA/Meadville) led with six kills and six digs
* Behrend tallied 33 kills and forced 22 attack errors by Wilson
* Five kills from Owen Wienczkowski (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBeouf) helped the Lions grow a 17-9 lead enroute to a 25-15 win in the first set
* In the second set, Behrend opened with a 15-4 run and then only allowed nine more points for a 2-0 lead with a 25-13 win
* The Lions had a small 10-9 lead in the third before winning the next nine out of 12 points to push the lead to 19-12
* A kill from Daniel Easly (Erie, PA/McDowell) sealed the victory in the third
* Kyle Hoffman (Carlton, PA/Cochranton) posted six kills and five digs while Alex Jackson (Cochranton, PA/Cochranton) tallied 17 assists and Caden Mealy (Meadville, PA/Meadville) added 10 assists
