Steubenville, Ohio - The Penn State Behrend baseball team combined for 39 runs on 37 hits in a doubleheader sweep at Franciscan Wednesday.

Game One: Penn State Behrend 14, Franciscan 1

* ​Behrend scored eight runs on six hits to begin Wednesday's contest

* ​Mac Ciocco (Venetia, PA/Peters Township) kicked off the scoring with an RBI double, followed by RBI singles from Thomas Nicely (Delmont, PA/Franklin Regional), David Gibson (North East, PA/North East), and Dylan Barnes (Pittsburgh, PA/North Hills)

* ​The top of the first inning was finished off by an RBI triple off the bat of Anthony Slate (Hopewell, PA/Hopewell)

* ​The Lions continued to pour on the runs in Steubenville, taking a 5-0 lead in the first two innings

* ​RBI doubles from Ciocco and Gibson registered a 2-0 Behrend advantage in the top of the first
* ​Behrend plated five runs in the second inning, started by a two-run double from Ciocco. This extra-base hit by the junior marked his 100^th career hit

* ​A Chase Palmer (Brookville, PA/Brookville) two-run single and a Barons error put the finishing touches on the seven-run inning

* ​As a team, Behrend crossed the plate 19 times on 18 hits

* ​This marks the second time this season that Behrend has notched 15 or more runs with the first instance coming against Ursinus (19-1) on March 5
