Panthers Back at Home to Face Mount Aloysius

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's soccer team will return to the Kessel Athletic Complex for the third time this season as they will host the defending AMCC champions, Mount Aloysius, in a conference match-up Saturday afternoon.

The Panthers got off to a tough start as they played difficult competition in their non-conference schedule. They were able to open up AMCC play last weekend, defeating LaRoche 2-0 on the road. Will Smith scored the game-winner, while Scott Compson added a 2nd half brace. Jared Scarlett made 13 saves for his first career shutout. Spencer Sklar leads the Panthers with 3 goals this season, while Compson, Austin Hogan, and Devin Stowe have all added two each. The Panthers have split time evenly in goal, as their three juniors have shared the responsibility. Scarlett has both of the Panther's wins and has made 61 saves over 4 games.

The Mounties have also gotten off to a slow start, but just like the Panthers, have played a difficult non-conference slate. They opened their AMCC schedule with a 1-1 tie against Penn State-Behrend. Mount Aloysius has used a balanced attack this season as 9 different players have scored, with no one tallying more than two goals. Luke Priestly has been the Mounties' primary goalkeeper, making 38 saves and allowing 2.00 goals per game in 8 starts.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 2:00 p.m. on the Soccer field at the Kessel Athletic Complex. Live video stream and statistics will be available on the Pitt-Bradford Athletics website.
