CAZENOVIA, Pa. –  The Hilbert College women's lacrosse team returned to action this afternoon for their second game in two days.  The Hawks were defeated by Cazenovia College 11-6 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference contest and dropped to 0-2 in league action.

The Wildcats jumped out to a 3-0 lead before the Hawks responded with their own 3-goal rally which forced an even game by half time.

Ashley Binn, Josephine Ban and Sam Lawicki all posted unassisted goals spaced over a five minute period.

Cazenovia beat Ashley Repine less than 30-second into the second half but Ban beat the Wildcat keeper at 26:40 knotting the game again (4-4).

It was a five-goal run by Cazenovia that put the game out of reach even though the Hawks tallied two more goals 18-seconds apart with 11 minutes left in the game. 

Josephine Ban led the Hawks with three goals and three draw controls.  Ban, Calista Mis and Repine each forced two cause turnovers while Ban, Repine and Brooklynn Gormel scooped a team-high three ground balls.

Ashley Repine collected her fourth double figure save game, adding 11 saves to her season total.

The Hawks (1-7) return to action mid-week when they host SUNY Canton April 11 at 4pm.  Game site will be announced shortly.
