ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team finished in a scoreless draw against Grove City at the soccer complex Wednesday night.

Key Moments:

* Wednesday's game began as a defensive battle as both teams could not put much together on the offensive side
* Senior goalkeeper Sam York (Akron, OH/Revere) preserved the shutout for Lions with a save on a penalty kick by Hunter Hardin in the 12th minute
* Behrend had a great scoring chance in the 33rd minute when Zak Schwarzel (South Park, PA/South Park) sent a free kick into the box that was headed by teammate Justin LeDonne (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional), however Grove City's goalkeeper was able to make the save
* In the second half, the Wolverines notched a few chances to score
* The first came in the 73rd minute off the foot of Owen Zimmerman, but York made an incredible save to keep the game scoreless
* Grove City's second chance came from a header by Camden Thomas that went just over the crossbar in the 87th minute
* Tyler Vandemerwe (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) led the way for the Lions with two shots, while Thomas and Hardin were the leaders with three apiece for the Wolverines
* York recorded four saves in his second shutout of the season. His counterpart Teddy Almeter made three saves in the scoreless contest
